On our first night staying at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa, we decided to just stay close to the hotel and eat somewhere where we didn't have to drive to. We saw that Vue Grille & Bar was on the property next to the golf course and was just a quick 5 min stroll from our room. Upon walking in, we were graciously greeted by the host and taken to our table. First thing I noticed... The beautiful, Peugeot salt & peppers shakers. This was a Classic, French touch that made this place stand out before even glancing at the menu. Of course, we were on vacation so a cocktail was in order. (Don't worry, it was 5 'o clock somewhere!) Being that it was 90+ degrees and we were in the middle of a desert on a golf course,... (No I didn't get an Arnold Palmer) But I did get his brother-in-law though.... A Tom Collin's! After Mr. Collin's arrived... It was Tee time! First round... A field greens salad with a tasty vinaigrette. The salad was so tasty, I wanted to stand up and yell... "Foreeeeee" Onto the second hole... French Onion Soup. My opinion: It looked pretty, but it lacked flavor! Yes the gooey cheese on the top was the best part, but the soup, the supposed star of the show was way below par. I think the chef needs to take a mulligan for this one! A little putt putt for the kids... The finest chicken tenders, French fries & ketchup this side of the fairway... We will give this chicken a 'birdie'. ;) And after playing the back nine, the final hole was an.... ABSOLUTE ACE! A bone-in, fried pork chop scallopini topped with arugula, sweet peppers, potatoes, & balsamic vinegar... As Kevin O' Leary from Shark Tank would say... "Ay Chihuahua Caramba!" Yeah, this hole in one dish blew my bombas socks right off my feet! The service was definitely a Triple Bogey and our overall impression of Vue is... It's an absolute Albatross. So... Tee up that wallet... Bring your best 'Driver' (especially if your drinking) And make sure to tip your caddie (aka your server) extra well!

Very relaxing spot with open air views of the course fairways. I ordered my wings extra crispy and that's how they came. The bartender was attentive and they have a nice selection of whiskeys available. Definitely a good spot for the 19th hole, watch the game with friends or a casual date spot. Outside of the bar the rest of the restaurant has an open feel and they also had (light jazzy type) live music perfect for a cocktail lounge.

The Vue is not your typical golf course restaurant. Indian Wells is beautiful, and this restaurant fits right in. Greeted by a remarkable waterfall, you enter the lobby and come upstairs to the restaurant. I'm a fan of patio dining, and the weather was perfect, so we sat outside. Excellent service flowed with delicious food. We tried a little family style and had tomato soup with flatbread. Dinner was the arugala salad and tortelini W a waygu burger. Parts of the course are lit at night, completing the evening.

Enjoyed a quiet evening on our last night of this trip out to LQ. Had dinner first, then headed to the driving range (another review). Dinner started with an ice cold beer and the wife had a watermelon margarita. She said it was good. Very tasty and a bit strong, which is not normally the case. Appetizer started with Mussels with. Coconut Milk reduction - very tasty. Had such an intense flavor, but nothing was overpowering the flavors of the mussel. Excellent choice. We also shared a bowl of French Onion Soup. Again, very flavorful. Dinner consisted of the Miso Halibut and a 10oz portion of Prime Sirloin. It was a juicy piece, cooked to the right temp, for me medium rare. The sides, green beans and small diced potatoes were cold. Sadly, the one downfall here. I'm not one to complain, as sending food back is not ideal, so I ate them and noted this here. Jason, I'm hoping the name is right, long silver'ish hair and beard, was super cool. Definitely made the night extremely great. Without him as the server and all around great guy, this may have taken a three star review. We'll be back, but I'll be more aware of what to order. Overall not a bad place to enjoy an evening away or to watch some football games (which were on last night).
